Invisalign is a system which uses advanced computer technology to plan treatment and design aligners. These aligners which make the invisible braces are changed every two weeks and need to be carefully monitored by the orthodontists. It is important to know that not all malocclusions can be corrected with Invisalign.
Your Invisalign treatment plan
A virtual 3D ClinCheck© treatment plan shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment. This allows you to see upfront what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of the Invisalign treatment. Your custom-made, clear aligners are produced especially for you.

Invisalign before and after
This patient was so happy with her treatment she left us the following Invisalign review…
“I used to cover my mouth with my hand and hide my teeth, but now I love my smile, it’s such a difference . I hadn’t realised how much I would enjoy the feeling. Treatment was very informative and relaxed, thank you.”
Common Invisalign questions and answers
How does Invisalign work?
Each clear aligner is worn for approximately 2 weeks, each aligner gently and gradually move your teeth towards their final position. Once an aligner has done its job you will replace it for the next one which will move your teeth a little bit further, the cycle repeats until you have worn all of the aligners in the series.
How long do I have to wear Invisalign for?
Each aligner will be worn for approximately 2 weeks and you must wear each clear aligner for at least 20 hours per day removing it only to eat and clean. Prior to beginning treatment your orthodontist will calculate the number of aligners you will require, typically your treatment time will be approximately 1-2 years.
How much are Invisalign braces?
The initial consultation for Invisalign is free, this gives you the perfect opportunity to discover if you are suitable for these clear aligners as well as ask questions about the treatment. Invisalign braces then cost from £150 per month.
What will I look like with braces?
The following image is a good idea of what you could look like with fixed metal braces compared to the clear aligners with Invisalign. During your Clincheck® appointment your orthodontist will show you a video representation of where your teeth are at the moment and where they will be at the end of treatment, this video presentation shows animated movement of your teeth moving.
Do I need braces?
Invisalign braces are suitable for anyone that has:
- A deep overbite. This is where your top teeth overlap your bottom teeth excessively, sometimes called buck teeth.
- Crossbites. This is where your top teeth bite inside your bottom teeth.
- Gaps between teeth.
- Twisted, crooked teeth.
